Job description
Sunflower Team at Nanaimo Registered Midwives is looking for a registered midwife who is interested in working hard for 2-3 months at a time, then taking a break. For 2024, this would be working most or all of July and August, then working December 2024-February 2025 inclusive. This could be an ongoing plan with the right midwife, and longer-term could work into taking over my full time position after June 2026.
We have a full caseload of 8-9 due dates per month, and a very liveable schedule that includes 48 hours off (like a weekend!) every week.
Compensation will be arranged in such a way that each of us gets the additional 52% on our billings, and can be discussed further with interested candidates.
This would be an excellent position for someone who likes to have extended periods of time to do other things as you could have spring and fall off.
