Compensation

Position Description
This important role involves managing the maintenance divisions across two sites, adhering to the organization’s GMP, HACCP, CFIA, and Safety guidelines.
It is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday, but with a varying shift requiring your flexibility. Shifts could run either 6:30am – 3:00pm (Day Shift) and/or 3:30pm – 12:00am (Afternoon Shift) with supervisors like yourself expected to be present approximately 45 minutes before and after shifts.
- You will be tasked with establishing an efficient mechanism to ensure equipment meets HACCP, GMP, SQF, and quality standards.
- The job requires working with automated machinery, including PLCs, robots, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, electrical and cooling equipment when required.
- You should have a technical understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Machining, Boiler, HVAC, Welding, and General Construction methodologies.
- The ability to decipher blueprints and CAD drawings is needed.
- You should exhibit strong leadership qualities, problem-solving abilities, and coaching/mentoring skills. Experience in training is also necessary.
- The role requires a proactive approach to managing conflicts, aligning performance for success, and initiating action.
- Team spirit and self-motivation are essential for this role.
- You will be in charge of the maintenance and repair of the facility’s machines, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Your tasks will also include developing and implementing schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
- You will be responsible for training and supervising staff.
- Your duties will extend to planning, organizing, and directing administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
- Other tasks will be assigned as necessary.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role is required.
Qualifications
- You should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or possess a Millwright or Industrial Electrical License).
- Having a Refrigeration License (Class B) would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.
- You should possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
Education
Post-secondary degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or Millwright or Industrial Electrical License).
