Job description

Are you looking for a position in a warehouse setting where you are operating equipment and working in a team environment? Our International automotive parts client in Brantford is looking for a WAREHOUSE TIRE SERVICE TECHNICIAN to add to their growing team in BRANTFORD.

We are looking for someone that is mechanically inclined, and comfortable with troubleshooting, and operating equipment ( Hydraulic pres, Urethane fill equipment. Forklift truck, Hand and power tools, Tire mounting machine, etc.)

Role: Warehouse Tire Service Technician
Pay Rate: $24.90 an hour
Shift: 7 am to 5 pm - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
•Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Operating equipment (tire mounting machine, hydraulic presses, urethane fill equipment, wrapping machines, etc)
•Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule or template.

•Dismounts and mounts tires as specified by the customer order.
•Fills each tire with the required quantity and type of chemical and/or substance as noted by the manufacturer’s specifications.
•Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
•Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling, cleaning or replacing consumable parts.
•Perform preventive maintenance and ensure cleanliness of all equipment including service vehicles
•Ensure tools and servicing equipment are kept clean and operational at all times.
•Assists other personnel in stacking, marking, packing and transportion of the finished product.
•Support warehouse team by filling orders and unloading shipments as required.
•Follow company procedures and supervisor’s instructions.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with hand and power tools or maintenance experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in an industrial environment and/or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Functional knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management ERP systems.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) software applications.
• Exhibits strong attention to detail, initiative, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, both internal and external, on a professional level regarding product and business operations.
• Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as required.

•Wrapping machine
