Clinical Psychologist II - Mental Health and Addictions
Stephenville, NL

Western Health currently requires a Clinical Psychologist II on a permanent full-time basis with Mental Health and Addiction Services. The primary purpose of this position is to provide advanced community-based psychological intervention to adults, children, youth, and their families.

The following Sign on Incentives may be applicable and can be combined:

Duties: Provides a full range of psychological services, including biopsychosocial assessments, test administration and interpretation, diagnosis, and intensive psychotherapy with children and adults. Provides consultation to Mental Health and Addiction Services staff and various care providers. Duties will be provided independently and as part of a team of mental health and addictions professionals. Provides leadership and support to various mental health promotion initiatives.

Required Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of theoretical approaches and therapy pertaining to mental health is required. Candidates should have clinical experience in the provision of comprehensive psychological assessment, intervention techniques/strategies, and therapy to individuals, families, and groups. Effective teamwork, communication, and inter-professional skills are essential. Experience working in an interdisciplinary community-based mental health setting would be an asset. Graduation from an accredited university with a Masters' Degree in Psychology. A Masters' Degree in Clinical Psychology is preferred. License and registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Examiners in Psychology is required.

**A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.

Hours of Work: 75 hours biweekly
0830-1630 Hours; Monday to Friday; Flexible hours may be required.
Salary: $74,119.50 to $87,340.50 per annum
