Trinity Consultants Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic candidate for a field technician assistant role on our growing team in Northwestern British Columbia that provides air quality and meteorological monitoring services. Trinity Consultants Inc. is a consulting company head quartered in Dallas, Texas that provides specialized services to clients across our four operational pillars Environmental Consulting, Water and Ecology, Built Environment, and Life Sciences.

This role is based in Terrace, British Columbia. Terrace is located on the Skeena River and has world-class hiking and mountain bike trails, Shames Mountain for downhill skiing, Onion Lake Cross Country Ski trails, a regional airport, and many rivers and lakes around the community for fishing, swimming, or skating. The Ts’msyen people have lived here since time immemorial.

The ideal candidate for this position will have an interest in air quality or meteorology, high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a willingness to work independently, and will enjoy doing hands on work.

This role is full time, 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Routine maintenance and installation of meteorological, analytical, and monitoring equipment.
• Emergency repair to equipment as needed.
• Indoor air sampling in an industrial environment.
• Outdoor air sampling in remote locations.
• Data entry.
• Data management tasks in excel.
• Communicate effectively with peers and clients.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in science, engineering, or electronics (this can be substituted for experience).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software (Excel, Word, etc.)
• British Columbia Class 5 or better driver's license
• Ability to work at heights and lift objects up safely and comfortably to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in industrial and remote work environments.
• Legally entitled to work full time in Canada.

Asset qualifications:

• Familiarity with, and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Job Type:

• Full-time Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
