Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing internal and external brand communications including executive communications, event support, media relations and corporate social responsibility communications.
If you were to come on board as one of our Corporate Communications Manager , we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Write clean, concise communications on behalf of senior executives.
- Assist in the drafting, preparation and proofreading of communications materials, such as internal communications, scripts, press releases, social media content and presentations.
- Build brand reputation through creation of corporate award submissions and actively seek new opportunities as they relate to our organization.
- Provide communication counsel to internal stakeholder teams as required.
- Support Event planning – corporate events such as town halls, large conferences
- Design and create materials for external and internal content, such as program announcements, presentations, newsletters, social graphics
- Actively liaison with content team to synergize content planning across all internal and external channels
- Support execution of communications initiatives; including all relevant deliverables associated with specific initiatives and management of the Compass Group Canada editorial calendar
- Support CGC brand, communications and media relations teams

- Minimum of five years working experience in a corporate communications role
- University degree or diploma. PR/communications post-graduate diploma strongly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as creative design capability
- Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), along with a willingness and ability to learn new software as required
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Event planning, management and execution experience
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Canva or Adobe Suite (such as InDesign and Illustrator)
- Understanding of Canadian media landscape
- Experience managing projects with multiple contributors and assets through to completion
- Fluent in Canadian French considered an asset
