In accordance with the Purpose, Vision, Values and Teachings of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), the Communications Coordinator is a strategic, compassionate and culturally-safe communicator who – using an inclusive, equitable and anti-racist lens – serves with purpose while upholding a shared responsibility for ensuring the highest standards of patient and employee safety and contributing to continuous quality improvement in all aspects of the position.
Reporting to the Director, Communications & Engagement, for a 12-month term with potential for an extension, the Communications Coordinator will provide communications and planning support to some of our more public facing clinical programs. The Communications Coordinator collaborates with peers on the Communications & Engagement team to edit or create content for PHSA’s channels, sharing organizational information and updates as well as stories of success. This includes close collaboration with other teams within PHSA programs and departments to provide planning, logistic and communications support, related to strategic priority areas within PHSA. The Communications Coordinator will ensure overall quality, consistency and effectiveness of complex communication materials.
The successful applicant recognizes the inherent rights of and title of BC First Nations and rights of all First Nations, Inuit and Metis in the province. They have superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and is extremely detail-oriented, capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects and client expectations. Job Type: Regular, Full-Time
Salary Range: $65,884 - $94,708 /year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
