Job description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Representative to join their team! As an Account Representative, you will be providing on-going support to the Commercial Lines Department and Producers, while providing exceptional customer service to clients. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a solid working knowledge of commercial insurance products, such as Builders Risk, Liability, Fleet, IRCA and a sound understanding of risk when analyzing a client’s needs and recommending the most relevant policies based on their exposure.
Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional service to clients, handling routine inquiries and responding promptly, either by phone or email
- Working closely with producers, coordinating new business and renewal strategies and negotiations
- Closely reviewing policy wordings, understanding inside and out, always providing a knowledgeable experience for the client
- Analyzing coverages, exposures, and loss history, determining the best method to protect against risk
- Ability to recognize opportunities to recommend additional coverages, cross-selling but also paying attention to the clients needs and ensuring they are fully protected
- Preparation of documentation, including but not limited to: submissions, proposals, comparison spreadsheets, binders, certificates of insurance, endorsements
- Invoicing client accounts, ensuring payments are received in a timely fashion
- Attending training sessions and other industry related events
- Maintaining professional relationships with underwriters, colleagues, and clients
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Extremely well developed written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with PowerBroker an asset
- Positive attitude, resilient under pressure
- Team player with a desire to excel
- Results oriented
- Must have problem solving and critical thinking skills
Qualifications:
- 2+ years servicing and supporting a commercial department
- Post-secondary education a desirable asset
- RIBO License
