Job description

The Ministry of Agriculture has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-confident individual with excellent client service and communication skills. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Moose Jaw, SK at the Agriculture Knowledge Centre.

In this position, you will be the first point of contact for farmers, ranchers and agri-business clients who are contacting the Agriculture Knowledge Centre. You will provide comprehensive information and support on a wide range of agricultural topics, programs and services. You will also have knowledge of the agriculture industry, current issues and terminology.  

As a Resource Agent, you will:

- Be a problem solver and be very knowledgeable about using the internet and resources to research information for clients;
- Be able to work very effectively in a team environment and be open to new challenges and learning on a daily basis;
- Have knowledge of and be comfortable with using a variety of databases, spreadsheets and other business applications for program delivery; and
- Have the ability to both lead and work with others on a wide range of projects and programs.

Typically, this knowledge would be gained through the completion of a certificate in office management/administration support and/or several years of experience in client service and the agriculture industry.

The successful candidate must be a team player, able to both lead and collaborate, have a reputation for integrity, and be able to focus on service excellence and innovation in their work.
