About the Role:
As a Welder's Helper on our pipeline project in Fort Saint John, BC, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of skilled welders. Your contributions will help ensure the efficiency and safety of our pipeline construction and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting Welders: Provide direct assistance to welders, including preparing and cleaning work areas, handling tools and materials, and setting up equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and checks on welding equipment and tools, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Material Handling: Move and secure materials and equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including pipefitters, laborers, and supervisors, to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Welder's Helper or in a similar role is preferred.
- Basic understanding of welding techniques and equipment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-conscious with a willingness to adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations.
