Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, is investing in our service expansion plans and will be growing our Access Networks PMO team to support a number of initiatives to extend our network reach to more costumers and businesses nationally.

The Contracts Performance Manager is accountable for the development and implementation of contractor performance policies and procedures for, Wireless Networks capital programs. This role partners closely with other teams within the Access Networks PMO, Regional Deployment, and Procurement in assessing, reporting on and improving contractor performance for Access Networks’ capital programs while supporting the business’ requirement for cost savings and improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Evaluation of productivity for build units delivered against baseline units. Also, includes evaluation of major milestone interval durations against established critical path for design milestones and build milestones.

•Evaluation of efficiency of project delivery for Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly planning accuracy service levels.

•Evaluation of asset capital management of clients equipment through cycle counts and equipment consumption against project progress.


•Evaluation of disciplined execution when performing work on or near active network equipment with a valid network change ticket (NCT).

•Evaluation of initial quality of project work against standards, guidelines and specifications for design (FTRD) and construction (FTRC).

•Validation of Health & Safety related items (scope of work areas, provincial worksafe clearances and insurance policy).

•Support and improve on the existing contractor resourcing and management processes

•Assist with program recovery/mitigation plans at a contracts level as required

•Leverage best practices from all stakeholder groups and integrate into the process

•Performs other duties and assist with special projects as assigned

MUST HAVE:

10 years of relevant work experience in telecommunications, engineering and/or network construction

•Strong understanding of designing & building wireless networks and systems. Well versed on industry & Rogers standards, site engineering, and construction methods.

•Post-Secondary education in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field

•Experience with managing contracts

•Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft applications

•Excellent presentation & communications skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

•Commitment to quality performance and teamwork across multiple disciplines

•Detail oriented with an aptitude for tracking progress across many initiatives

•Excellent interpersonal skills

•Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to
effectively interact with cross functional teams
