HOURS: Monday to Friday - 9am-5:00pm (full-time)MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.Our client is a leading supplier of construction products and they are on the hunt for a Purchaser to execute daily ordering, supplier management, and product pricing. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement and construction materials.
Key Responsibilities: - Sourcing stock and creating purchase orders
- Maintain inventory levels while managing product pricing
- Oversee supplier relationships and supplier database
- Review rebate programs and facilitate returns and buy backs with suppliers
Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years Purchasing experience in the construction or similar industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, working in a team environment
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to develop product knowledge, existing product knowledge is an asset
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
Base Salary: $60,000-75,000
