Office of the President

(Two-Year Contractual Position)

DUTIES

Reporting to the Executive Director, Office of the President, the successful applicant will provide high level, confidential, support to the Executive Director and Senior Advisor to the President, Government Relations and Strategic Initiatives. Duties include screening and responding to inquiries promptly and appropriately; composing, preparing, and formatting correspondence of a highly sensitive and confidential nature to various stakeholders; establishing and maintaining comprehensive files and records; managing calendars, arranging meetings, and compiling materials and background information; providing administrative assistance with financial matters including travel claims and expenses, budgets, and accounts reconciliations; coordinating purchases and requisitions for the office; ensuring follow-up on outstanding issues, inquiries, and correspondence; working collaboratively with members of the President's Office as well as staff in the Vice-Presidents' offices; providing coverage for other administrative support staff as needed; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (5-7 years) in progressively responsible administrative work; completion of a two-year office administration diploma; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team; exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills; manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency; and utilize their experience working in a confidential environment. Knowledge of University governance and structure as well as policies and procedures is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Experience using Adobe, Banner, SharePoint, OnBase, Diligent Boardbooks, or similar programs is considered an asset.

SALARY $55,110 – $64,645 per annum (Non-Bargaining)
