Acorn Advisory is an M&A advisory firm, focused on executing global and local transactions ensuring the best value extraction for its clients.
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology development team. This is a full-time remote position and the selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company's long term technology strategy, which includes driving innovation, managing and mentoring the tech team, promoting IT operational excellence, as well as controlling the area’s budget and strategic goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's long-term objectives and market dynamics
- Lead and mentor a diverse tech team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness while achieving strategic objectives
- Drive operational excellence in all IT domains, ensuring the highest standards of security and reliability
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate technology solutions that enhance overall business efficiency and productivity
- Stay updated of emerging technologies trends and innovations, integrating them into the company’s strategy
- Establish robust IT governance and risk management frameworks to ensure compliance with regulations and protection against cyber threats
- Foster a culture that supports agile methodologies and a mindset of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Software development and product development skills
- Project management skills
- IT Strategy and architecture skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- MBA or an equivalent degree will be a plus
- Previous experience in an M&A advisory business will be a plus
