What You’ll Do
- Build and lead the O&A coverage of selected industries in Brazil allocated to the Coverage Cell, and align to DB’s Latin America and Global Franchise in O&A
- Develop a coverage plan in consultation with the Head of Brazil O&A to build the franchise on the Coverage Cell universe
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients focused on the delivery of advice on advisory, M&A and capital markets issuances and opportunities in Brazil
- Keep abreast of business activity in Brazil and provide firsthand insights related to business opportunities, market dynamics, sourcing opportunities for DB’s investment banking business
- Collaborate with other internal teams to cross-sell other products offered by the bank
- As a senior member of the Brazil O&A team, support the professional development of team members
- Issue final reports of client interactions and discussions to senior management and maintain ongoing communication
- Report on performance and targets to when required
- Comply with all risk guidelines and conduct guidelines of the bank to foster culture and ethics within DB and with regulators
How You’ll Lead
- Experience in working with senior level management maintaining confidentiality
- Work collaboratively with Coverage, O&A, GEM/FIC Rates teams to offer multiple products and solutions to clients
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the deal teams on: setting appropriate project initiatives; executing pitches to prospective clients; maximizing sector penetration and returns; ensuring overall successful transactions are undertaken in an efficient manner; and developing junior members of the team to accelerate their careers
- Identify issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks
- Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated
- Create a positive, effective work environment conducive to open communications, taking initiatives, and collaborative problem-solving team culture
Skills You’ll Need
- Extensive experience as an Investment Banker
- Experience covering clients in Brazil
- Expertise in financial modeling and valuation analyses on public and private companies
- Performing in-depth company and industry research to support live deal execution and pitches
- Robust knowledge of all investment banking products
Skills That Will Help You Excel
- Bachelor's degree
- Portuguese, English languages
