Tax - Advisor I
Tax Manager
Responsibilities:
- Ability to effectively coordinate and interact with accounting and regional tax team as well as external consultants as necessary.
- Preparing quarterly reports, interim and annual tax provision calculations; validating tax balance sheet accounts; advising on the tax impact of new accounting standards under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and USGAAP; advising on tax disclosures in the financial statements; reviewing existing tax accounting and reporting processes and recommending areas of improvement to ensure efficiency and accuracy; providing qualified members of our team on a secondment basis to help you manage tax processes.
- Strongly knowledge of corporate income tax and accounting.
- Responsible for accurately preparing and filing tax documents.
- Responsible to develop tax strategies and policies that help the client or business maintain compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Work to identify tax problems and propose solutions and work in-house for a business or work as a consultant for multiple clients.
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
- Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or law.
- Fluency in English (must have). Fluency in Spanish is a differential.
- Minimum of 5-year experience in big four and/or prior experience US companies (is a plus).
- Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
- Familiarity with local federal, state and local and international reporting requirements.
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members.
- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
