Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, coordination of budgeting and forecasting, and periodic and one-offs reporting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the business and the Chief Financial Officer on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.
Focused on the Banking Line of Business for Latin America, you will be responsible to support the production and delivery of our key financial metrics including revenues, expenses, and headcount, where you will be expected to deliver accurate and timely value-added financial reporting and analysis, financial modelling to assist with strategic direction and decision making. As part of the Financial Planning and Analysis teams, you will interact regularly with the Business Managers, Bankers and Senior Management of the regional Chief Financial Officer and peers across Finance & Business Management, the Banking product and coverage heads, and bankers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support and production for the consolidation of financial results, forecasts for the remainder of the year, and budgets for future years
- Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of business performance and provide commentary explaining changes from prior periods/forecasts/budgets
- Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly and ad-hoc reporting of the results, KPIs and relevant drivers for senior management
- Monitor and report wallet and volume league tables performance at the product, country, and sector level. Perform competitive analysis to identify areas of opportunity versus other tier-1 competitors
- Streamline business as usual processes, reducing non value added activities and introducing automation where possible
- Partner with global Banking P&A and Latin America & Canada Central P&A teams to explore synergies, ensure alignment/consistency, and comply with all information requirements and deliverables
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economy, or a subject of a technical nature
- Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish, and English
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Skills in automation and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and other is a plus
- Previous experience in Finance roles within financial institutions, with knowledge on financial analysis, financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise way to senior management and other stakeholders
- Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
- Results oriented, with the ability to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Analytical thinking, inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, capable of challenging peers and resolve issues proactively
- Team player and respected as a trusted business partner to the business, and other finance colleagues within Planning & Analysis and Business Management
