The candidate will be responsible for helping the company build its platform in close collaboration with a world-class team of scientists and engineers. Job Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of products and tasks without requiring oversightUnderstand company needs, and solve-problem where needed
- Collaborate with various teams including- microfabrication, biology, animal behavior, surgery, and ops teams, and build tools that they require
- Be cognizant of technical debt, when to address it, and when to build new features
- Keep in tech with new advancements and innovations in the field
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer
- Expertise in Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
- Experience in DevOps and app deployment
- Comprehensive knowledge of both front-end and back-end technologies
- Self-motivated with a deep understanding of how to catch the low-hanging fruit
- Sound technical and product judgment
- Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment
- Healthy distrust of the cloud
- Good command of English communication
