Job Responsibilities:
- Use data visualization tools and approaches to share findings and insights with stakeholders
- Create and put into action data-driven solutions for business challenges
- Build and use models for machine learning and statistics to glean insights from data
- Employ machine learning algorithms and prediction models to foresee trends and outcomes
- Assist software and data engineers in deploying and scaling algorithms and data models
- Investigate data patterns, trends, and anomalies using exploratory data analysis
- Create tools and techniques to clean, convert, and preprocess huge datasets
- Work together with cross-functional teams to pinpoint issues and opportunities in the business where data can be used to provide insights and impact
- Maintain a constant learning process and keep abreast of the most recent developments in data science and machine learning
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist
- Extensive knowledge of statistical and ML techniques
- Demonstrable experience working with programming languages like Python, R, or Java
- Prior experience working with data visualization tools and techniques
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
- Extensive experience with data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation
- Good communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Hive is desirable
- Strong understanding of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch is preferred
- Nice to have a good understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Some familiarity with back-end technologies like Graph QL, Sage Maker, Python, TypeScript, .NET Core, and .NET MVC
- Knowledge of JavaScript, React, Flutter, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap
- Solid understanding of Invision, Figma, and Photoshop
- Basic understanding of MsSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, S3, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GitHub, Postman, Jira, and Linux
- Extensive experience with natural language processing (NLP) and text analytics is desirable
- Exceptional knowledge of data mining and data exploration techniques is preferred
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms is desirable
- Nice to have some experience with software development best practices, like version control, testing, and debugging
- Ability to work independently and accept responsibility for allocated duties is preferable
- Passion for data science and eagerness to learn new technologies and skills is nice to have
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills is desirable
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets is desirable
- Fluent in spoken and written English
