What you'll do:

As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and qualification of electronic controls systems and electrical components for new refrigerator and freezer product launches for different architectures. In detail, you will:

• Participate in the design and development projects for refrigerator and freezer products, managing all electronics aspects from inception to launch;
• Manage projects according to stage gate methodology, developing milestone schedules and managing the project status report for the electronics aspects;
• Interact with different product requirements and develop specification documentation in order to reuse existing modules and identify new designs needed to support products;
• Review, develop and document the functional specifications and the engineering documentation necessary for the project;
• Create wiring harness designs for refrigeration products, according to the definitions of system components, manufacturability and feedback from the service organization;
• Take part in the analysis of design and development processes, guaranteeing compliance to international standards and aiming to find opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and improvements on quality and sustainability;
• Participate in product builds in the manufacturing facility, as well as system and subsystem reviews.

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).

Who you are:

You have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic) or equivalent;
• Experience with development of electronic solutions;
• Experience with development of new applications of electric grids;
• Experience with CATIA;
• Experience with home appliance industry, safety agencies and international safety standards are pluses;
• Knowledge of project management;
• Advanced Office skills;
• Advanced English.

Where you'll be:

You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba. One of the focal points for all Latin American Electrolux operations, this plant is the base for over 3200 collaborators, all focused on transforming the way the world lives by shaping lives for the better with their work. It will be necessary to have availability for national and international travel.
