Job description
Your main responsibilities will include but won't be limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting department's operations, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to gather financial data and support strategic decision-making processes.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for business decisions.
Multinational retail company looking for a senior finance manager|Fluency in Portuguese and English is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and management in public traded companies;
- In-depth knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards (BR GAAP/IFRS) and familiarity with local tax regulations.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to drive business decisions.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
