As a member of the Brand & eCommerce team, the Email Marketing Associate/Coordinator will play an integral role in driving customer acquisition and retention through targeted email marketing from conception to execution. The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of our customer base, the ability to analyze customer data and behavior and showcase experiences in driving business results through email marketing.
AT SONDER YOU WILL:
Own the deployment, optimization and performance reporting of email marketing activities:
Schedule, test and deploy email campaigns (batched and triggered) using the Iterable (ESP) platform
Audit and optimize existing lifecycle marketing workflows
Identify and manage customer segmentation opportunities
Measure, analyze and report on performance metrics on a regular cadence
Manage relationships and deliveries of third party vendors and internal teams involved in email marketing deliverables (Design and Content team, , freelance HTML programming developers involved in email templates creation)
Identify new email opportunities through research and competitor analysis
Manage the ad hoc email requests from internal teams
Ensure user data is accurately collected and stored for segmentation purpose, working closely with Product team and Engineering:
Conduct thorough customer data audits to spot and troubleshoot discrepancies or anomalies in the data, ensuring data integrity and usability
Conduct email sign-up flows audits to identify opportunities for improvement
Accelerate Sonder’s email marketing growth leveraging your email marketing experience and user segmentation research to increase Sonder’s marketable database and conversion:
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Previous proven experience in lifecycle marketing at a hyper growth technology company or hospitality player
Experience with email marketing automation tools (e.g. Iterable ideally or similar tools, etc)
HTML coding experience preferred, particularly for email or eager to learn
Excellent writing and communication skills
Highly analytical mindset and capable of making data driven decisions
An experimental mindset with a knack for rapid A/B or time-series testing
BS/BA degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
Expertly balance and prioritize your daily to-do's, as well as your short-term and long-term planning.
A self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to work well both independently and in a team setting
A challenge loving problem solver with a playful positive attitude
Fluent in English, another language is a plus.
Preferred:
Previous experience in hospitality
Experience navigating CRM infrastructure - SQL experience preferred or eager to learn
Experience managing freelancers or marketing agencies
Experience working across cultures and time zones in a remote environment.
