Job description
Our client is Siemens Healthineers, a leading global medical technology company with more than 55,000 dedicated colleagues in over 70 countries, driven to shape the future of healthcare.
The DevOps Engineer will be part of a regional team that will support the Healthineers Digital Operations team in North America.
This includes monitoring and operating business critical data pipelines and helping to maintain BI dashboards in Power BI and Qlik Sense.
This position will be part of an organizational push to democratize data and increase data literacy across the commercial functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and fix data pipelines to ensure a continuous flow of business-critical data.
Utilize a modern technology stack to automate and improve operational processes (e.g., Airflow, Snowflake).
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders providing support and SME knowledge for various projects.
Help strategically provide direction on democratizing data through data catalogs, semantic layers, and modern data SaaS platforms.
Provide 2ndlevel support on any incidents that need to be resolved related to the transfer and use of data through to the front-end BI platforms.
Document work, contribute to, and enhance code repositories.
Assist with basic reporting functionality within BI platforms (e.g., Qlik, Power BI).
Work with various databases to query, export, and provision access.
REQUIREMENT
Expert level knowledge on monitoring operational data pipelines (e.g., Airflow, ADF).
Expert level knowledge on SQL database technologies (Snowflake, MSSQL, Oracle).
Expert level communication skills and be able to speak technically as well as be able to speak with business acumen.
Knowledge on the Power Platform (Power Automate, Data Marts, Power Apps) specifically focused on the data integration and operations.
Knowledge of cloud technology with a focus on the Azure technology stack.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and managing with a cross functional team with responsibilities of front-end and back-end teams.
Working knowledge on BI Platforms (Qlik, Power BI).
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
5+ years within a large company managing data pipelines and operations.
DESIRABLE
A university degree in Computer Science or similar.
Knowledge of sales and marketing related commercial operations and data.
Knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.
Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and/or CDPs.
Knowledge and exposure to data catalogs and data quality tools (e.g., Informatica).
Knowledge and exposure to Data Governance activities within an Enterprise landscape.
Experience leading large projects.
Experience as a lead in a business facing role.
