Job description
A well-established OTT platform serving a diverse range of audiences in more than 15 languages worldwide is looking for a Senior iOS Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of integrating new features and upgrading the platform's stability. The company is determined to deliver an unmatchable experience to users with their industry-leading services and products. The company has managed to secure more than $200mn in funding so far. This role requires 6+ hours of overlap with the time zone in China.
Job Responsibilities:
- Solid experience and a good understanding of the iOS platform
- Help recruit technical and product-aware engineers
- Define the future architecture of the platform
- Define and guide team members while showcasing technical and product expertise
- Improve, rethink, and redesign the mobile app to offer a high-performing system with a compelling user interface
- While designing streamlined and modular code, deliver important business modules
- Take charge of product quality from start to finish, from development to maintenance of key app foundations that make apps more dependable and enjoyable
- Collaborate with a professional team that develops prototypes for fresh ideas and experiments with cutting-edge mobile technology
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Extensive experience working with iOS technologies
- Familiarity with TvOS is nice up have
- Knowledge of technologies such as UIKit, Core Animation, Auto Layout, and Cocoa Touch at an expert level
- Excellent coding skills in Swift and Objective-C
- Strong fundamentals in computer science and operating systems
- Ability to deconstruct difficult challenges into simple, inventive solutions that meet commercial requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in ambiguous situations
- Entrepreneurial spirit, a proclivity for action, and the capacity to operate autonomously are all desirable qualities
