In 2023 we started our South America operation, and we are looking for talented and engaged professionals who want to embark on this journey with us.

Responsibilities and assignments

Main responsibilities:

•Design and implement the infrastructure necessary for the processes of extracting, transforming and loading data from different sources using market standard technologies;

•Design solutions for data processing from different sources with large volumes of information in structured and unstructured data;

• Advanced knowledge in structured and unstructured database technology;

•Creation and optimization of corporate data pipelines within big data solutions;

•Creation, maintenance and implementation of VWCO/RIO's corporate data model in logical and physical specifications using market data modeling tools;

•Work with development teams to translate specific project needs into data model specifications for different systems and applications;

•Implement data models in relational and/or unstructured databases;

•Develop and optimize searches (queries) in corporate databases in order to meet the SLAs of the systems and applications;

•Knowledge of technologies: Hadoop; Spark, Hive;

•Definition of the architecture and creation of pipelines for batch and near real-time data ingestion in the Data Lake in the AWS cloud;

•Migration of On Premise (SSIS) solution to AWS cloud with the main AWS stacks focused on analytics such as Glue, Spark (Pyspark), Athena, S3 and Lambda Functions;

•Migration of On Premise solution (SSIS) to AWS cloud with the main AWS stacks focused on analytics such as Glue, EMR using python, java and .Net as development language, Spark (Pyspark), Kineses, Athena, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda Functions and AWS Lake Formation;

•Redshift cluster management;

•Implementation and definition of best practices for data ingestion;

•Maintenance of the company's data catalog;

•Remodeling and migration of relational and NoSQL databases.

Requirements and qualifications

Experience required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience;

• Middle or Senior experience in Software Development or Data Engineering.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Proficiency in AWS tools: MSK Connect, AWS S3, Athena, Glue, Glue Studio, TerraForm, Delta Lake AWS, Apache Kafka, IAM AWS;

• Very good English skills, both written and spoken;

• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or others relevant to data engineering tasks;

• Proficiency in working with databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and optimizing data retrieval and storage;

• Nice to have experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform;

• Knowledge of agile development practices and experience working in agile teams;

• Nice to have experience with DevSecOps practices, ensuring security throughout the software

Additional information

Hiring CLT, hybrid format, being necessary the presence in our office in Morumbi, São Paulo/SP, 2 or 3x per week.
