Dow Research & Development (R&D) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Solution Lead role in São Paolo, Brazil; Jundiai, Brazil; or Campinas, Brazil. This role will align with Dow’s Design You Day approach and allow employees flexibility by choosing when to work remotely and when to attend on-site activities based on project work and role needs.
The role is part of Information Research (IR), a hub of digital innovation for Dow R&D . IR provides information technology (IT) and data science capabilities & expertise to accelerate and support R&D innovation and enable Dow R&D’s digital transformation.
About you and this role:
As the Associate Solution Lead, you will manage and support our chemical inventory system and related lab data management systems used in Dow R&D globally. Dow’s Chemical Inventory system is a COTS enterprise system used by Dow researchers to manage and track the chemicals & materials in R&D labs globally and support global and local regulatory compliance. In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with a multi-disciplinary IT team to expand the adoption of the chemical inventory system across Dow R&D, support existing implementations, and manage the product life cycle.
Responsibilities :
Work closely with Dow researchers, R&D EH&S, R&D leadership, and other stakeholders to understand needs.
Manage the product life cycle including keeping the software version current, as well as planning the next generation system (partner with the Sr. R&D Solution Manager)
Support the implementation, including license management, version upgrades, and troubleshooting any issues with the IR team.
Collaborate with the software vendor to align the product roadmap to meet Dow requirements and influence product enhancements, improvements, and bug fixes.
Drive utilization and champion effective use
Own the Operating Discipline and serve as a focal point for any IT audits.
Ensure legal and security compliance and governance requirements are met.
Build and foster a community of chemical inventory focal points and champions
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
5 years of relevant experience in managing and supporting an enterprise IT application/system
IT technical skills: system administration, server-based software installation and configuration.
Advanced English-level written communication skills
Your preferred Qualifications Include:
8 or more years of relevant experience
Experience with maintaining Biovia CISPro
IT technical skills: programming, writing database SQL queries, and PowerBI
Advanced English-level verbal communication skills
