As the Lead 3D Environment Artist at Kokku Games, you will be handling the artist team to function on a project properly, ensuring that all necessary means for success are in place and leading the team to productivity performance.

As the Lead 3D Environment Artist, you will:
- Access and analyze the client's product needs, help the project manager and producer estimate the workload, assist in bidding and define project production planning.
- Work with other disciplines to establish technical and aesthetic guidelines for in-game art.
- Responsible for the team's understanding of the project's work requirements.
- Work along with the project and art manager to set performance objectives for the project with artists.
- Supervise and support artist development and performance objectives for the year and support their development.
- Coordinate the quality control for each deliverable, ensuring that artists respect the QA pipelines, and work closely with Art QA, the project manager, to improve the quality performance of the team.
- Reliable for the team's capacity to deliver within the deadlines while reaching the quality bar and productivity goals.
- Represent the art team in client interactions, conveying feedback and complex subjects in an organized manner.
- Using the appropriate platform, maintain organized archives of client pipeline information, documents, and feedback. (Confluence, drives).
- Assist the Art manager in the art department processes (recruitment test evaluation, onboarding, basic training and artists' performance and development)
- Actively assist the project manager and Art manager in the project closing process for documenting the team's learning and action plan.
- Preach and support maintenance for the use of best practices.
- Ensure that the means of success are in place to deliver the best product by preparing his team and working closely with the Art Manager, Project Manager and Producer.
- Raise concerns promptly and propose alternatives or ideas.
- Solve or participate in solving complex problems in a structured manner, from assessment, research, planning, and organization to execution.
- Available to work within production, assuming artistic tasks when required.
- Be an example, inspire and motivate people managers, and guide other artists in best practices, processes, and procedures related to production.
- Work closely with the project managers with task tracking, securing deliveries and respecting deadlines.
- Keep informed about industry and trade technologies trends, guide and advise his team.
- Collaborate with Production Managers, Project Owners, Art Managers and Producers
- Must have 8+ years of experience in creating environments for game development.
- At least 2 years of experience leading art teams
- Advanced experience in managing art teams and pipelines.
- High experience in game engine integration and editing skills.
- Proficient in standard software relating to AAA games (Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Designer, Unity, Unreal, etc.).
- Strong environmental composition skills using art principles with game design.
- Proficient in implementing and composition of assets in the engine.
- Proficient with standard industry practices and techniques for environment creation (timesheets, tri-planar materials, lightmaps, masks, vertex painting, etc.)
- Experience or Knowledge in various art styles in 3D art media.
- Strong capability to learn new tools and methods, adapting to evolving industry standards.
- Have effective analytical, written, oral, team, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Good mastery of communication best practices, proper channeling, choosing the right audience, active listening and open-mindedness.
