The Director of Information Technology is responsible for driving the strategy of the company’s data strategy, that will lead the building of the appropriate data strategy and architecture to meet the business objectives. This includes architecture, maintenance, storage, auditing, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, quality, efficiency, and security using best industry practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lead all efforts to build and sustain a data architecture platform that will support the business strategic objectives.
Lead efforts to build a CRM/CDP ready data platform.
Partner with Marketing and Business Intelligence for the successful delivery of valuable business data.
Partner with business stakeholders to assess and validate each business technology strategy from a data, security, and operability perspective.
Ensure all data privacy regulations, practices and policies are enforced into all our data platforms.
Assist with the design of IT strategies and technical vision.
Enforce security standards for all technology initiatives.
Supervise employee and contractor personnel in their daily tasks.
Establish current and long-range group objectives, plans, and projects in alignment with IT Leadership.
Manage and support data infrastructure. Utilize sound troubleshooting methods and independent research and knowledge to find solutions to problems.
Establish current and long-range group objectives, plans, and projects subject to approval by the Vice President of Information Technology.
Produce and review reports, logs, and other management output as required.
Identify opportunities to improve IT systems efficiency and data flow efficiency.
Be available for some after-hours responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Collaborate with IT to support transformational technology initiatives including coordination and assistance for new restaurant openings.

Education, Experience & Travel Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, BCIS or related technical field, with additional technical certifications.
5+ years of related Information Technology experience, preferably in the restaurant industry.
4+ years of data management, data engineering or data scientist.
Demonstrated experience leading technology projects.
Preferred experience in Restaurant IT systems.
CAP certification, AWS or Azure Certified Data Engineer is preferred.
Travel-ready on demand but not expected.
Availability for taking on Support Calls even on after hours.
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Network / Systems Architecture design
Cloud computing, VM machines.
Database, Data Lakes, Data Warehouse management (SQL Server, AWS, Azure, Redshift, Snowflake)
Oracle reporting (Essbase, OBIEE)
Data integration and automation (API, WebService, SFTP, FlatFiles, JSON, XML, CSV, etc.)
Microsoft Power BI, Excel reporting, Tableau
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity and toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with high-stress situations.
