As a Labor & Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Being responsible for labor agreements and be accountable for relationship engagement with Labor Relations representative groups (e.g., Labor Unions, Workers Councils) in defining the tone and approach for bargaining and ensuring measures are in place for compliance with contracts.
Being accountable for oversight and management of programs, policies, procedures, and employment practices that are compliant with local laws and regulations.
Acting as the job holder and being accountable for the development of best practices for HR in ensuring equitable treatment, and fair behaviors in the workplace.
Providing day-to-day advice to HR and Business leaders providing insights on labor activities and innovative and preventative practices.
Operating as a thought leader within the profession and help shape the external environment in legislative, regulatory and policy areas related to labor and employee relations for their region/area of responsibility.
To be successful in this role you will:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Advanced English and Fluent Portuguese (Basic Spanish is a plus).
Have experienced in employment law managing complex ER cases within a fast-paced environment.
Have extensive & demonstrated L&ER (Labor and Employee Relations) expertise and leadership experience.
Ability to drive clear communication and engagement at all levels.
Being able to influence change and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated experience as a chief spokesperson in labor contract negotiations, preparation and conducting of labor arbitration.
Hands on experience providing day-to-day advice and counsel on various labor and employee relations issues.
Have experience managing labor relations elements of mergers, acquisition, divestitures and organization restructurings.
Experience with labor negotiations and collective bargaining agreements.
Knowledge of employment and labor practices in multiple countries.
Must have strong leadership skills; operates as a global leader with understanding and appreciation for regional differences. Relationship management, coaching and collaboration skills are required.
Must have demonstrated experience managing, planning and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives.
Being able to travel a minimum 20% of the time both domestic and international.
