Lead the team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of operating tax returns and tax payments properly reflecting the positions taken by the Company while mitigating risks through appropriate documentation and disclosure; and, ensure the timely and accurate delivery of information in support of tax planning, audit, and accounting activities. Develop and refine the strategy for Brazil operating tax including continuous improvement, relationship management, and the integration with business, Tax, and SSC processes.
- Support annual resource plan and budget aligned with other COEs and teams, specifically SSC, Risk Management, and Accounting, project timelines and resource plans;
- Identify, analyze, and incorporate law changes into tax systems and return filing positions. Monitor tax legislation and provide advice on pending legislation businesses impacts;
- Coordinate the preparation of the operating tax returns and payments consistent with resource plans and budget;
- Review operating tax returns and payments, including workpapers, to ensure accurate reporting and disclosure, and audit ready workpapers. Ensure the Risk Assessment Matrix appropriately reflects the correct risk profile for each tax filing and entity based on current tax law and business activity;
- Prepare the reconciliation of the tax accruals, as recorded, to the returns prepared for filing and explain all differences as required by policy;
- Support development and recommendations of tax plans to reduce the Corporation’s overall tax burden and optimize cash flow; specifically opportunities to improve operating profit and increase cash efficiency;
- Ensure the forecasts reflect the best available information for key drivers;
- Effectively partner with the risk management and consulting team to provide responses in support of tax controversies and planning initiatives as required;
- Lead or support projects as required to deliver tax or business objectives;
- Execute the strategy, objectives, and coordinate the Brazil Operating Tax processes and team;
- Execute the strategy, objectives, and implement operating tax technologies to enable efficient, controlled service delivery in support of Tax Accounting, Risk Management, and the businesses;
- Align objectives and partner with the businesses, SSC, IT, Treasury, and all Tax COEs.

- Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar;
- BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar CPA, CMI, CAE or international equivalent MST or MBA a plus;
- English advanced;
- Spanish Intermediate;
- Macros, Excel, SAP, Oidt, Tax One, Onesource, Tax Requirements Application On Business;
- People Management, Tax Operations,Compliance, Accounting, Finance;
- Experience in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm;
- Experience leading a team.
