The Rio Grande Director of Manufacturing will oversee the Manufacturing group encompassing the following value streams; Casting, Stamping & Forming, Tools & Equipment, Hot Stamping and Customization. The Director of Manufacturing will lead and support creating a culture of continuous improvement throughout all Manufacturing. The Director of Manufacturing will ensure the effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.

What You'll Need: Live the Rio principles of respect, responsibility and results The ability to balance the support and challenge of the Manufacturing teams Well-developed analytical skills utilizing tools such as Excel pivot tables and Minitab to analyze moderately complex data sets, determine root cause, present management recommendations and execute solutions Use a problem-solving approach which balances appropriate stakeholder input, data, emotional intelligence, common sense, intuition to achieve the desired business results The ability to collaborate with linked Business Directors to achieve the overall best outcome for Rio Excellent Microsoft skills, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams Sufficient project management experience to lead others in related Manufacturing projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and managerial skills Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the Manufacturing group The ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others The ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals The ability to see mistakes as learning opportunities The ability to be open to constructive feedback aimed at learning and improving E ducation and Experience: Minimum of 5 years management experience running a 100+ person, ERP driven, manufacturing operation encompassing budget and capital planning/management, and support functions such as safety, quality, purchasing, facilities, sales quotations, inventory management and product engineering Minimum of 5 years experience in the precision metal stamping and machining of small metal components. A proven track record in creating a continuous improvement culture using a collaborative and engaging approach Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience Lean and Six Sigma certifications a plus Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must have good (or correctable) visual acuity Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times What You'll Do: Work with the Manufacturing Team Leaders, oversee and participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees Work with the Manufacturing Team Leaders, oversee schedules and assignments for the group Conduct performance evaluations of the Manufacturing Team Leaders that are timely and constructive; participate in Manufacturing associate reviews as necessary Work with the Manufacturing Team Leaders, handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations through collaboration with Rio safety function Lead and support all continuous improvement activities and projects within Manufacturing; support process improvement activities in other areas of Operations, i.e., Distribution Center and Supply Chain Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring that safety, quality, delivery and productivity standards are consistently met Review production reports to ensure that safety, quality, delivery and productivity standards are consistently met Responsible for developing and implementing a rolling two-year strategic plan that supports Rio’s corporate strategy, including all associated capital, staffing, project and process changes necessary to achieve long-range operating goals Identify and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills Organize departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations Works with the Finance department to develop operating budget Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested Supervise equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout Perform other related duties as assigned Compensation:

$119-149,000/year, commensurate with experience. Benefits:
