Job description
A U.S.-based company that is developing an online platform that enables users across the world to connect with each other is looking for an iOS Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for deploying architectural alterations to the main iOS codebase for the platform. The company offers users the ability to submit links, produce content, and participate in discussions about the subjects that interest them. The company has managed to secure more than $1.2bn during their Series F round of funding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a framework that will allow community developers to create rich, cross-platform experiences
- Create bridge layers between native components and JavaScript using tools like JavaScript Core or Web Assembly
- Provide a wonderful developer experience for constructing apps
- Along with back-end and front-end engineers, work across the stack
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience as an iOS engineer
- Extensive experience developing platform-level features for iOS
- In-depth knowledge of declarative UI, including Swift UI
- Prolific experience working with JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Protobufs
- Accept the difficulties of developing data-intensive, quickly responding, and fault-tolerant apps in the limited space of a smartphone
- Prior experience shipping shared codebases
- Fluent in spoken and written English communication
