We are looking for an ESG O& M Coordinator to overseethe social performance of our operational assets. This role entails maintaining continuous community and stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with IFC standards and environmental permits by both the operator and contractors. The successful candidate will be responsible for all ESG activities during the O& M phase of Atlas' projects, with a particular focus on ensuring environmental licensing processes are adhered to. This includes ensuring that projects under the O& M phase align with Atlas' environmental and social policies and comply with Brazil's environmental laws, project permits, and IFC Performance Standards. What Challenges you will face: Oversee hiring processes for environmental and social consultants, including elaborating Reference Terms, analyzing proposals, and negotiating contracts. Assist in analyzing ESG OPEX. Provide support during the ESG handover at the end of the construction phase. Develop Environmental and Social Programs for the O& M phase aligned with licensing processes, IFC Performance Standards, and relevant policies. Collaborate with staff to identify and address gaps in environmental and social plans proactively. Ensure implementation and compliance with Atlas' Environmental and Social Management System. Support the maintenance of current reports submitted to Atlas and relevant partners and investors. Identify strategic partners for future activities, such as local universities and NGOs, to improve environmental performance. Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve Atlas' ESG framework objectives related to biodiversity, sustainable supply chain, local livelihoods, and climate change. Analyze project compatibility with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Conduct internal environmental audits and participate in government environmental audits. Collaborate with Atlas and Contractor leadership to implement a comprehensive community outreach plan targeting various stakeholders. Maintain detailed records of Key Performance Indicators and metrics. Foster strong relationships with Project staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and information exchange. What specific knowledge do you require? 5+ years of exposure to construction and operation activities related to environmental and social programs. Bachelor’s degree required: Engineer (preferred Environmental or Forestry), Agronomist, Biology, Geographer, Geologist, social communication or related fields. Background in infrastructure projects managing environmental and social compliance. Proven success in meeting and exceeding performance goals. Must have documented successful partnership cultivation experience and a keen understanding of the purpose and value of disclosure. Ability to manage the routine considering different projects. Experience in team management and consultancy supervision and licensing process. English and Spanish – Intermediate to advanced notions (desirable) Advanced MS Office.
