Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Brazil Engineering and Technology Center (BBETC) is seeking Mid-Career Seats & Interiors Stress Analysis Engineer reporting to the Structures Manager , working in the São José dos Campos office. 

We're seeking a highly motivated candidate with experience in Seats & Interior stress analysis. The Engineer will assist supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. 
• Work with customer requirements to support Payloads Engineering definition for Interior Modification programs. 
• Fully understands the project statement of work including general certification issues to provide engineering definition
• Support project proposal activities by reviewing statement of work, assessing potential impact to certification or to configuration control, and by defining overall effort required to complete the project.
• Develop new analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
• Define supplier data required for supplier-related interior modifications.
• Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. 
• Supports Investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
• Works under general direction.
• Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience with Aerospace Seats & Interiors Stress Analysis.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• Must be legally able to work in Brazil.
• Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

• Experience on the substantiation of interior aircraft commodities using classical, empirical, and finite element analysis (FEA) methods (Hypermesh, Patran, Nastran, FEMAP).
• Experience validating or verifying structural models.
• Experience with structural design principles for aircraft.
• Experience with analysis of metallic and/or composite materials.
• Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment.
• Experience with analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Positive & proactive mindset, highly motivated team member willing to manage multiple assignments and work with a sense of urgency.
• Proactive collaboration with customer, build positive relationships.
• Effective communication with other team members and management.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
