Direct Procurement is responsible for sourcing of NPK, macronutrients, micronutrients, raw materials, energy, gas and goods necessary for the production process. These purchases are generally done in large quantities and enables Yara to benefit from its scale towards suppliers, best practices sharing and consolidating spends globally with its Business Partners. Our ambition is to further develop our role as a strategic business partner to bring value to Yara globally. This will allow us to promote substantial impact actions for a more sustainable Yara.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Direct Procurement. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for leading strategic projects and executing the procurement process, from identifying purchasing needs to negotiating contracts, securing goods and raw materials for our company. The ideal candidate will have strategic view, project management skills, communication and negotiation abilities and a deep understanding of the brazilian Fertilizer market, procurement process and supply chain management.
* Assess and develop new sources for medium and long term by acting proactively in the markets, searching for benchmarks and new trend in order to capture gains for the P category, develop and guarantee the implementation of the P category strategies;
* Guarantee supplier's performance and ensure compliance with contracts and agreements, identifying and resolving issues in a timely-effective manner.
* Stay up-to-date on market and industry trends/best practices in procurement and supply chain management, actively promoting continuous improvement and cost reduction processes in procurement and supply chain, using performance indicators in order to add value to Yara
* Identify and mitigate business risks for the organization;
* Control and manage the physical and financial exposure, ensuring on-time supply in a cost-effective manner.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize the supply chain;
* Be active on the market in order to identify potential business opportunities;
* Execute and act in the company’s transformation, encouraging the team and the suppliers to seek innovation and more sustainable actions
* Lead strategic sourcing development projects, fostering team engagement, and spearheading innovative solutions
* Solid experience in Purchasing (Direct Procurement a must) or correlated areas;
* SAP/ERP Knowledge, Office Suite and Systems desirable: Indicator Management mandatory (e.g.: Dashboard, Power BI, E-Commerce Portals, CLM)
* Knowledge of Legal Agreements;
* Knowledge of Fiscal / Tax matters: Direct Taxes (ST, Red. Base, ICMS, IPI, LC 116), negotiations involving fiscal benefits (ICMS credit, other tax op.)
* Knowledge of Financial Mathematics;
* Experience with purchasing tools, negotiation, TCO and Strategic Sourcing
* People Management: Experience in technical/project leadership
* Experience with: Vendor Management, CRM (method), negotiations of large contracts, projects, import, Make or Buy analysis, Continuous Improvement and Savings Capture Programs.
