Requirements
· Demonstrable previous experience as a Business Analyst on strategic digital transformation projects in medium/large organisations
· Demonstrate a highly analytical and logical approach and can articulate complex concepts in a clear, concise and unambiguous manner
· Excellent oral and written communication at all levels; able to inspire confidence and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Maintains a professional attitude and able to build and sustain strong working relationships. Demonstrates a customer focussed attitude at all times
· Demonstrates excellent time management, able to plan and prioritise own activities while working flexibly under broad direction
· Excellent presentation skills and accustomed to running workshops and public speaking
· Ability to apply emotional intelligence and effectively manage and influence stakeholders’ expectations
· Sound technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems used within a corporate environment
· Proven experience in understanding and capturing requirements; adopting various techniques to prioritise, validate and align to business outcomes
· Ability to use data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
· Experience of both waterfall and agile methodologies for project management in a technical environment
Responsibilities
· Serve as a conduit between technology colleagues and the wider business across multiple, complex projects to implement solutions in an practical and cost-effective manner while actively ensuring alignment to RSC business strategies
· Provide significant support to Project Managers and Technology colleagues in defining roadmaps and key project milestones for complex multi-£M projects across multiple business areas
· Capture and validate business requirements from internal stakeholders and translate these into prioritised functional, non-functional, integration and transitional requirements and ensure they are coherent with RSC business strategy
· Identify risks and issues, communicate them clearly to the project management teams and be actively involved in their mitigation
· Act in a consultative manner across all business areas to analyse, document and re-engineer processes, identifying cost-reduction and/or time saving opportunities and ensuring they are coherent with RSC business strategy
· Work with Technology colleagues and/or external suppliers to formulate technical specifications
· Produce, develop and manage business case / project initiation documentation, ensuring that business outcomes are in line with RSC business strategies. Actively promote and police adherence throughout the project lifecycle
· Assist in with the management of the demand pipeline; able to conduct complex demand assessments and position within a value matrix
· Produce RFI/RFP documentation and engage with vendors/suppliers during the vendor/software selection process to ensure RSC requirements are met. Analyse SLAs to protect the RSC's best interests
· Able to predict and plan change management activities across complex multi-directorate projects and takes an active role in the successful adoption of changed processes, products, and technologies in the organisation. Advocates the need for robust change management across all activities
· Has a deep understanding of the organisational structure, departmental strategies and builds strong cross-directorate relationships.
