GM Financial International Operations conducts business in Latin America and China. International Operations offers a wide range of wholesale and retail automotive financing products to dealers and their customers. The strength of the international business lies in its ability to tailor its products to meet unique dealer needs, consumer preferences and national requirements in local markets. Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.
The Solution Architect II is responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision across teams to help ensure the system under development is fit for its intended purpose.
The Solution Architect II, will help the company grow and build a solid cloud platform based on Microsoft technologies in Azure.
The Solution architect describes the solution context and solution intent, analyzes technical trade-offs, determines the primary components and subsystems, identifies the interfaces and collaborations between them, defines non-functional requirements (NFRs), guides enablers through the systems, and works with product management, customers and vendors to help ensure fitness for purpose
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 3 -5 Years Software Development of Business systems.
- At least 3-5 years of technical experience with in-depth knowledge of CI/CD/DevOps/DevSecOps/Pipeline Automation concepts, tools and technologies (such as Azure DevOps (ARM, Terraform), YAML, Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure App Insights etc).
- Preferred Cloud certification in the areas of Azure Solution Architect, DevOps, DevSecOps Engineering.
- Design and development of multi-tier application and integration architecture.
- Design systems using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Micro-Services principles.
- Design and development of cloud solutions (must have) preferably on Microsoft Azure
- Cloud Services: Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault, Log Analytics, APIM, Azure Container Registry, Azure Service Bus
- Container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability and experience working across all domains of IT (InfoSec, Cloud, AppDev, Data, DevOps, CRM, Network, etc.)
- Architecting and implementing APM tools like Azure App Insights and building KPI dashboards, logging and alerting processes.
- Ability to learn and speak on the subject – must have
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills – must have
- Works with Product Manager, Product Owner, fellow architects, Software engineering and Business teams to elaborate product requirements into technical requirements which are used to develop stories that can be estimated accurately.
- Define the technical and architectural vision for the solution under consideration by technical trade-offs and analysis of alternatives.
- Continuously evolve solution architecture with input and feedback from application architects and software engineers
- Drive efforts to ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance in solutioning.
- Leading large-scale initiatives emphasizing the strategy, design, development, and delivery of high performing Azure DevOps projects related to IT Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security and Digital adoption.
- Apply DevOps/DevSecOps strategies, designs, implementations, and tools capabilities/functionalities, establishing best practices, documentation, and innovative continued improvements for solutioning.
- Leverage knowledge related to Cloud Management Platforms, Virtualization, Automation and Orchestration Strategies, Public Cloud Platforms, Cloud Capacity/Performance Optimization, and Application Migrations to a Cloud Platform
- Working with the corporate Security teams (Cybersecurity, InfoSec, Compliance) to implement and standardize these disciplines into a full CI/CD pipeline, assessing key security vulnerabilities and integrations tools.
- Contribute to NFR requirements and drive strategies to uphold NFR's through automation and frameworks.
