About the Product
Eden’s mission is “To create a world where every person has a relationship with a trusted healthcare provider.” We have a team that is passionate about that mission and the patient’s we work with. Our team is collaborative, supportive and is focused on delivering excellent care. We build tools to help providers interact and deliver care to patients virtually and for patients to access care. We have a web based application and a mobile app. The web based application is used by providers to interact with patients via chat or video visit, documenting and creating plans for their care. The patient app is used by patients to access care via chat, video visit, they can book appointments, manage their care via care plan. What you will be doing We are looking for seasoned mobile engineers who are passionate about providing a great user experience and want to see their work improve people’s lives. You will join our Product Engineering team, helping to improve our core mobile apps, and other innovative products not yet defined. Our product engineers work closely with our product management, design and clinical teams to identify problems and build effective solutions. You will join in ownership of the mobile engineering discipline: working to build our products, culture, and processes. You will not be hesitant to jump in and fix things because you take responsibility for sustainable engineering. Technical problem solving appeals to you, but you will also create space for your colleagues to demonstrate the same. We all learn and grow to achieve goals that can never fit in a job description. Responsibilities: Contribute to the React Native application on both Android and iOS. Help the team refine and maintain engineering processes that let us develop quickly while keeping a high threshold for quality — including writing tests, technical documentation and mobile application distribution systems. Routinely ship high quality software that helps simplify healthcare for our patients and clinicians. Engage in the entire lifecycle of product engineering, including (but not limited to) sprint planning, retrospectives, on-call rotation and deploying software. Learn and improve from both qualitative and quantitative measures. Build an understanding of our business and our unique approach to healthcare so that your technical decisions impact the course of the company. What you will bring 6+ years of experience in developing and deploying high-quality mobile applications for Android and/or iOS platforms into production 3+ years of experience with React Native, Unit Testing Mindset for thinking about mobile metrics and how to improve them Experience solving complex problems related to mobile infrastructure cloud and build automation services You set a high bar for technical excellence, and you want to help your peers achieve it Shipped a consumer-facing Android or iOS app (or both) You are able to anticipate technical and operational risks and can help mitigate them You have several approaches to debugging, maintaining and improving mobile software Excitement about the prospect of developing tooling that will not only help unlock feature sets that were not readily available but also help increase the cadence in which teams are able to quickly build and release exceptional products for Eden Health’s patients, customers, and our exceptional team About our Tech React Native, Redux, React Navigation Typescript Testing framework – Detox Python 3.7 Clojure 1.10 Postgres AWS CI/CD – Circle CI & Github Actions Build & Distribution – App Center Perks of becoming our team member: We’re welcome new ideas and allows you to make an immediate impact on the team Remote work and flexible PTO Health and wellness package Personal laptop Do something morally benevolent!Job tags
