Also ensure the technical development of the operational teams of utilities.

Utilities Specialist
Mission: Ensure that ADM's thermal power generation and compressed air generation facilities in Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Argentine, Paraguay, Ecuador and others) are operating safely, respecting compliance rules and with better sustainability, reliability and cost results. Also ensure the technical development of the operational teams of utilities.
Main Activities: - Ensure that all operations and installations routines are in accordance with the legislation in force in the country of the site and that ASME's international engineering standards are in order to achieve Zero Accidents.
- The Specialist will be responsible for elaborating/calculating/specifying equipment for new projects and verifying the existing conditions of critical safety devices of boilers, burners, compressed air stations and etc.
- Bring innovation, continuous improvements and gap solving of boilers and compressed air systems, in order to ensure the integrity of people and facilities, always the maximum efficiency of the processes.
- Perform and check efficiency and performance calculations of equipment and thermal machines and compressed air compressors, verifying the deviation from the original project. It will also be responsible for developing or specifying engineering solutions and operational routines to eliminate gaps.
- Responsible for understanding gaps and controlling the costs of thermal energy generation and compressed air of all sites in Latin America, the will have interaction with the local teams of the sites and respond to senior management the actions that are in progress to mitigate or reduce the thermal energy costs of the sites.
- Lead and seek world-class innovations that focus on reducing GHG emissions and consequently reducing costs.
- Perform project management, thermal and mechanical calculations, elaboration of mass and energy balance, calculations of rupture and mechanical deformation of equipment, calculations of performance and use of renewable energy;
- Responsible for working together with local teams on chronic problems in Utilities, understanding the root causes of the problem and proposing systematic and sustainable solutions.
Necessary Requirements: - Training in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering;
- Active CREA;
- Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC);
- Experience with high pressure boilers in large industries;
- Knowledge of finance, controllership, budget management and cost analysis;
- Advanced English;
- Intermediate Spanish.
