Job description
A U.S.-based company that is building a world-class cloud-based construction management software is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for making sure the requirements for release readiness have been met before release. The NYSE-listed company is developing a next-gen construction management software that enables businesses and their team/partners to work more effectively. So far, the company has managed to securely raise $648mn+ in funding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist system owners in setting up AWS Cloud services and delivering new initiatives, feature upgrades, and bug fixes through hands-on support of releases
- Promote and implement proper change management, DevOps and release engineering, governance, and compliance across the Business Technology Enterprise systems in close collaboration with release engineers and cross-departmental system owners
- Utilizing tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab, create and maintain the CI/CD pipeline
- Drive DevOps best practices of major Enterprise Applications in collaboration with business and system owners
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
- 4+ years experience working with DevOps, site reliability, or software engineering role
- Demonstrable experience configuring AWS Cloud services such as VPC, ECS/EC2, S3, Route 53, IAM, Terraform, CloudFormation, SNS, ELB, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS
- Extensive experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, software configuration management/version control systems, build and release processes, and monitoring strategies
- Prolific experience delivering infrastructure and services in AWS
- Working knowledge of multi-account topologies, including their design and implementation
- Solid knowledge of observability tools like SumoLogic, CloudWatch, DataDog, or New Relic and AWS Security tools and vulnerability scanning tools
- Prior experience working with standard security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate, and key management
- Nice to have some familiarity with microservice-based infrastructure and knowledge of Java, Python, and shell-scripting
- Prior server-side Java development experience with Spring MVC is desirable
- Excellent English, both written and oral, communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced setting requiring attention to detail, a high level of motivation, and deadline-driven productivity
