Job description
We are looking for an experienced Front-End Lead Engineer to join our fully remote tech team spanning 3 continents, with a passion for creating beautiful and easy to use features and solving interesting problems. As a key member of our team you will have the chance to make a direct impact to the business by shaping the direction of our front-end technology stack and introducing new processes.
Our frontend is based on NextJS and React. Our technology stack includes Redux, Server-side rendering, static generation, Sass pre-processor, and we use Heroku and Vercel for our deployments.
Our backend is based on PHP with the Symfony Framework & the Sylius e-commerce framework and we utilize a cloud-based infrastructure in Heroku and AWS. We love agile development, no-code approach and experimenting with new technologies.
Among others, your role would include:
Ensure that best practices are adhered to from a software development approach and process.
Being the technical partner to the product manager to evaluate feasibility and efficient delivery of the product backlog
Responsible for the efficient and successful delivery of the backlog, from planning through to technical approach and quality. Unblocking the team when needed.
Collaborating with the Tech leadership team to make recommendations and drive
evolutions to our process and approaches.
Mentor and coach team members to develop and progress in their career. Setting the
goals and seeking opportunities for them to grow.
Partake in hiring of team members as needed
Helping the team get closer to our customers and actively participate when scoping
ways to solve their problems and needs.
Ensuring that there's enough capacity on the team to deliver against the company
objectives
7+ years experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS as well as libraries and frameworks like LESS, SASS, Grunt, jQuery etc.
Good communication skills
Previous Tech Lead experience - mentoring, guiding and empowering employees
Strong focus on performance
Nice to haves:
Creativity and a sense for good design and user experience
Previous experience in writing Automated Tests (unit, end-to-end or visual)
Experience with AB Testing
