Would you like to be part of the Finance team?
Reporting to the Head of Finance Americas, you will manage the monthly close process by ensuring that all transactions are booking timely (Payroll, bank reconciliation, expenses) and preparing accruals. The successful employee will need to be innovative and able to develop new process for their area of expertise.
The main activities will be:
- Responsible for the study of recurring documents from agencies related to Ten (collective agreement, MPs, TACs);
- Make sure the company is aligned with global Finances & HR policies;
- Responsible for managing Finance and collaborate with HR, IT, Legal and Facilities.
- Review transaction on the bank platform and set up weekly payments;
- Support with management of external suppliers such as lawyers, accounting, HR, finance, etc;
- Organize facilities in general: office, services, improvements, etc in collaboration with HR;
- Manage revenue recognition ensure revenue accruals and deferrals are in line with Group policy;
- Ensure cash is collected, overseeing aging reports and managing vendor collections by contacting vendors directly collect past due balances;
- Prepare intercompany cross charges to the UK;
- Understand and “code up“ any non-invoiced transaction as recorded in the bank account e.g. corporate credit cards, single use credit card reports. Following up with the business where no invoice is on file to ensure a spotless audit trail;
- Manage the sign off and settle expense claims to ensure compliance with policy;
- Review the Payroll tax other indirect tax calculations and make payments; accordingly;
- Provide locally all necessary source documentation (including payroll break down by location, revenue entries, bank reports, internal target reports) to relevant local bookkeepers;
- Work with this local accounting support to a monthly transactional General ledger report, and the monthly Trial balance, P&L & Balance sheet;
- Report on all non-invoiced cash spend as recorded in the bank accounts, corporate credit cards, single use credit card reports. These need to be follow up where no invoices are on file;
- Upload all the accounting, finance and tax information in BC (Business Center System);
- Understand and reconcile indirect taxes, including IPI, PIS, COFINS;
- Preparation of interim and year-end audit schedules and communicate risk and opportunity to Group finance in London;
- Ensure accurate and timely local Regulatory filings, reporting and registration;
- Understand local advisors’ recommendation relative to the accounting of reserve, assets & expenditures.
Requirements
Interested? The requirements to apply for the position are:
- Graduated in Business Administration or similar areas. Bachelor's degree in related field, experience in a finance role;
- Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and English. Spanish would be a plus;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and MS Outlook;
- Working knowledge of Brazilian Tax legislation;
- Knowledge in Business Central System would be a plus;
- Understanding of reconciliations, forecasting and financial planning;
- Ability to work with employees at all levels and encouraging a highly collaborative environment;
- Must have a start-up experience mentality but create process where needed;
- Ability to work with tight deadline and manage multiple tasks;
- Experience in LAC, managing countries such as Mexico, Argentina or Colombia would be considered a differential;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential company matters with discretion.
