Data Migration Architect II page is loaded
Zendesk, a fast growing web-based customer service and engagement software company, is looking for a Data Migration Architect to help document and execute customer data transformation requirements into and out of Zendesk.
In this role, you will consult with a wide array of external business leaders, encouraging and partnering with them as they transform their businesses! Your primary responsibilities include understanding the customer’s business needs, consulting them on Zendesk processes, documenting their overall goals, and ensuring the project execution fulfills these goals.
As a Data Migration Architect, you will be part of a global team consisting of Project Managers and Data Engineers within the Zendesk Professional Services organization. You will work on multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities to bring your projects to completion .
In this role, you will become an expert on Zendesk data imports, data exports, and configuration replications.
Understand, document, and implement customer requirements according to scope. Ask questions and dig into the customer’s use-case, capture the business problem we are solving together, and finally craft their Zendesk instance to ensure success.
Help Zendesk customers understand standard methodologies in migrating their data
Actively collaborate with customers in mapping their data structures into Zendesk
Handle migration projects from start to finish
Collaborate with developers who are performing the migrations
Communicate & forecast resource needs over the course of multi-week projects
Ensure platform data services work is completed on time and on budget while supporting the Professional Services delivery team
Defy the “garbage in - garbage out” principle for data, in other words help customer’s turn bad data into good data
Become a domain specialist in Zendesk Platform Data Services
Help shape, refine, and document the processes involved in migrations
Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business field
Technical understanding of RESTful and JSON API implementation
Functional understanding of data management and transformations
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
Passionate about customer service and how it can transform businesses
Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask
Familiarity with a backend programming language (Ruby, Python, C#, etc)
2+ years experience in Professional Services
Experience with Zendesk configuration, implementation approaches, and App Framework and related SSO capabilities
Zendesk Certification(s)
