PHP Engineer

Job description

A fast-growing company that specializes in providing businesses with social media or recruiting, digital engagement, and lead response solutions is looking for a PHP Engineer. The selected candidate will be collaborating with cross-functional teams on several business tasks while seamlessly transitioning from one project to the next. The US-based company's advanced solutions helps businesses to connect with consumers and get their message and products out to them efficiently. They have managed to successfully secure $13 mn+ in funding so far. This will be a long-term, full-time role requiring 4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform data and software migration from Rackspace and AWS into Azure 
• Upgrade the PHP version
• Refactor code, update the database, and set it up on a new system
• Document new features for analysis 
• Collaborate with development, product, and support department heads as needed
• Conduct code reviews for bugs/logical errors and approve or deny as appropriate

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
• Extensive experience in PHP, Java, and MySQL
• Nice to have experience in Docker and Azure 
• Fluent in spoken and written English
