Sytel Limited develops and supplies Softdial Contact Center (SCC) multimedia, multichannel, fully blended cloud contact center solutions, for quick and easy deployment by partners offering CCaaS or enterprise users. It brings the same world-class innovation to the multimedia contact center that is used in developing its world-leading AI Predictive Dialer.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop a detailed knowledge of the existing software within the company and contribute to the design and development of new and existing services.
- Design for scale and implement services that cope with the real-time environment of the Cloud.
- Implement new services to extend the functionality and reach of Sytel’s cloud platform.
Ideal Profile
Skills required:
- C# Server Development (formal services, not ASP.NET!): An understanding of concurrent programming using .NET. When and whether The ability to learn the requirements for developing server code and experience of writing web services
- Demonstrable knowledge of Object Oriented principles and sound programming patterns.
- Database (SQL or NoSQL): Understanding of database programming, with some experience using at least one database
- Communications protocols: First-principles knowledge of communications protocols. Specific protocol knowledge isn’t needed but a good understanding of ‘how and why’ is.
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems.
- Personal Skills: A willingness to learn – quickly – team working
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Cloud software development (Containers, design for cloud, exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of testing methodologies
- Ability to write testable code.
- Use of modern .NET (Versions 5-7)
- Knowledge of the protocol and WebSockets
- Subversion version control
