Job description
Objective The candidate for this position will be responsible for manages and evaluates technical aspects of the equipment CNC controls to determine necessities and feasibility to upgrade them. Directs technical personnel of the CNC recovery area sharing his expert knowledge and training them as well as with the CNC Maintenance Experts providing support to plants when required. Responsibilities Manages the CNC recovery area organization & administration providing structured plans to recover the CNC equipment that arrives, and the timing for the ones in progress and the ones that will be delivered when finished. Coordinates the technical personnel and their tasks in order to accomplish the established recovery plans with quality and in a timely manner. Directs and certifies the maintenance tasks such as mechanical retrofits & upgrades in order to ensure the proper functioning of the CNC equipment once it´s delivered for production. Executes the electronic control upgrades for the CNC equipment through the installation and programming of new available technologies increasing the useful time of the recovered machines. Ensures that all the recovered equipment is delivered for production with the necessary technical information (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic) to the plants avoiding the existence of miss information. Creates (if necessary) work instructions and standardized methods to realize special adjustments / tasks on the equipment once the electronic upgrade process is done (data backup, renishaw, general adjustments, etc.). Participates in internal/external trainings of the different equipment in order to stay actualized of new available technologies always taking ideas & advantages for the company. Provides expert support & knowledge in control and automation in the equipment troubleshooting when is required, training experts, specialists, Maintenance Engineers & Supervisors during the process. Qualifications Expert knowledge in Electronics and automation controls and updated knowledge of new technologies. Skillful in CNC controls of SIEMENS / FANUC / HEIDENHAIN 10 years of experience
