The Disclosure Lead, Latin America is a senior role that reports to the Co-Director of Disclosure. The primary objective of this position is to drive a rapid increase in CDP disclosure in Latin America. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing revenue from administrative fees and enhancing the overall experience and value of disclosure.
Who you are
- Minimum of 6 years of experience
- Experience : Proven track record of leadership or senior team management role in a global organization, with expertise in environmental/ESG disclosure, sustainability, or related fields.
- Strategic Thinking : Ability to develop and implement regional disclosure strategy that aligns with the global one. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and challenges in the disclosure landscape.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and drive collaboration. Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the region.
- Revenue Generation : Strong business acumen and experience in maximizing revenue from administrative fees or similar monetization models. Ability to identify new revenue opportunities and develop strategies to enhance financial sustainability.
- User Experience Enhancement : Proficiency in working with technology and data teams to improve user experience and streamline processes. Knowledge of user-centered design principles and ability to identify areas for enhancement.
- Value Optimization : Strong understanding of the value proposition of disclosure for investors, companies, cities, states, and regions. Ability to collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall value provided through CDP disclosure.
- Fluency in English as well as at least one language spoken in the region (Portuguese and/or Spanish) is required.
Your day-to-day
- Support the Development of Global Disclosure Strategy and Execution in the Region : support the development of a global disclosure strategy and bring in the regional inputs. This strategy should emphasize the expansion of CDP disclosure in Latin America.
- Engagement of key players in the “disclosure” arena (such as ESG rating agencies) and - in close coordination with the Partnerships Team – arranging deals or MoUs that foster the alignment/interoperability of these different disclosure requests; all with the goal to create additional traction for growing CDP’s disclosure numbers.
- Conduct Market Research : Conduct thorough research and analysis of the current state of CDP disclosure in the region and provide regional inputs into global research. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental disclosure.
- Engage Stakeholders : Collaborate with investors, companies, cities, states, and regions to promote the benefits of CDP disclosure and encourage participation. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in Latin America to drive engagement and increase awareness of CDP's global disclosure system.
- Maximize Revenue Generation : Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue from administrative fees associated with CDP disclosure locally. Identify new opportunities to generate revenue and explore innovative approaches to funding the organization's activities.
- Enhance Disclosure Experience : Work closely with the technology and data teams to improve the user experience of CDP's disclosure platform. Identify areas for enhancement and implement solutions to streamline the disclosure process, making it more efficient and user friendly.
- Optimize Value : Continuously evaluate the value proposition of CDP's disclosure system and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall value provided to investors, companies, cities, states, and regions through CDP disclosure.
