Sr. SMB Marketing Manager, Seller Marketing

We believe that empowering SMBs to build digital skills and get online is essential to support their long-term growth and sustainability. We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual to join our team as Small Business Empowerment Sr. Marketing Manager, to help build resources that will boost SMB Selling Partners on Amazon. In addition, work in building relationships with local small business groups and associations and governments to spread awareness of how Amazon can support local businesses. Through these organizations you will drive adoption of our tools, educate regional policy makers on how Amazon can benefit their local area, and collect feedback to help build new SMB initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
• Become an influential stakeholder, spokesperson and leader by supporting Amazon’s public policy team to build relationships with external groups to create awareness of Amazon’s support for small businesses and drive adoption of our tools.
• Lead local stakeholders to coordinate educational events and small business accelerator programs in regions across Brazil and Latin America for SMB owners and entrepreneurs, run in partnership with the local governments, associations and partners.
• Drive adoption of the suite of tools that Amazon has to offer SMBs, including the Amazon Small Business Accelerator, Selling on Amazon, Fulfilment by Amazon, Global Selling, and more.
• Lead local stakeholders to boost sales from SMB Selling Partners from minorities. Work with Marketing and PR teams to drive awareness and traffic to boost sales, and optimize budgets and channels accordingly.
• Source case studies of businesses already using Amazon’s tools to support outreach to policy makers and to feature in online and offline marketing and PR. Set the strategy on how best to leverage the database of case studies externally and to build briefing templates that cover Amazon’s support for SMBs.
• Work with the PR team to drive regional coverage of our local initiatives and events, including case studies to improve general perception around Amazon’s role towards supporting local small businesses.
• Create a network across various Amazon departments to build a joined-up approach for outreach to external organizations.
A day in the life
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a passion for Small Business Empowerment and entrepreneurship. They would be highly organized, and on top of the details, with experience in event planning. They can work independently to prioritize opportunities and deliver results, but will also be required to collaborate with other teams including Public Relations and Public Policy. They will have strong people skills and will be comfortable building new relationships with senior external stakeholders and policy makers. They would have excellent presentation skills.

Small Business Empowerment is a global team that focuses on driving initiatives that help to showcase the stories and products from local small business selling partners. We measure the impact in their businesses, and make sure to empower businesses from different regions, backgrounds and sizes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
