Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for an Asset Senior Coordinator in São Paulo, SP– Brazil to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.
As our Asset Senior Coordinator you will Support the Senior Asset Manager in her comprehensively monitoring and execution of all commercial and financing tasks, commitments, responsibilities, and undertakings belonging to each Project Company.
M ain responsibilities
- Follow CCEE rules regarding registration and ballast and keep control of portfolio position (in parallel to DC, or following them up closely)
- Know and support finance with flow of payments of contracts – short term ex-post, long term, swaps, PPAs, Inter company agreements.
- Support tax/accounting/treasury to optimise cash flow management and tax optimisations.
- Act as point of contact for short term deals-closing positions every end of month alongside back-office provider.
- Coordinate approval of the invoices and payments in the system when Mendubim purchases power/swaps and for CCEE payments (settlement and fees).
- Liaise closely with Back-office provider - act as "account manager" of Energy Management Contract, while Merchant Committee will follow up deliverables of Market Access contract
- Support the Senior Asset Manager in her acting as each Project Company’s General Manager vis-à-vis their respective Boards of Directors and all third parties, and in accordance with the terms of the Management Service Agreement.
- Financial Management and Corporate Governance of Operating and Project Companies - Ensure that each Project Company’s accounting firm is provided with such information, assistance and advice as to enable it to maintain adequate records and books of accounts, so to timely prepare periodic financial statements to meet all applicable statutory, contractual and managerial requirements; liaise with the auditor
- Update the Financial Models as and when required by the Financing Agreements, prepare and update necessary periodic financial and cash budgets and carry out the budget-to-actual variance analysis.
- Assist the Secretaries of the Boards and the General Managers of the local Project Companies and the Dutch Holding Companies in preparing information for the Board meetings or the General Assemblies.
- Contractual and Statutory Compliance of Project Companies - help the Senior Asset Manager maintaining a correct and complete archive repository and scheduling system; help procuring Project Companies’ compliance with and communication under the terms their constitutional documents and the Shareholders’ Agreements, their Project and Financing Documents
- on instruction from the Senior Asset Manager, liaise with technical, legal and regulatory, financial, accounting and tax, environmental and social, or insurance advisers.
- Monitor on weekly/monthly basis the plant’s electricity production, downtime and performance, in cooperation with the O&M Contractor prepare production root cause analysis.
Qualifications and competencies
- University Degree or equivalent
- Fluent in English and Portuguese, spoken and written.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in renewable companies
- Energy regulatory knowledge
- Experience with quality work an EPC and O&M company is an advantage.
- Knowledge of IFC HSE guidelines.
- HSSE performance management, reporting, and analysis
