Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in rendering to join our team at Kokku Games. As a Senior Software Engineer - Rendering, you will be responsible for developing and implementing rendering techniques and systems that push the boundaries of visual quality and performance. You will work closely with artists, designers, and other engineers to create visually stunning and immersive gaming experiences.

As a Senior Software Engineer - Rendering, you will:
- Implement robust and scalable solutions for high-quality rendering in a game engine;
- Perform CPU and GPU performance profiling and optimization;
- Identify and highlight any potential risks during the development process;
- Solve engineering problems by applying sound software engineering principles, design patterns, performance optimization and minimizing any potential disruption factors during the development process;
- Champion engineering excellence at Kokku as well as with our client’s development efforts;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Solid engineering skills with a vast professional experience in games;
- 2+ years of experience as a Graphics or Rendering Engineer;
- Two or more shipped games;
- Multiplatform development experience;
- Excellent programming skills in C++;
- Solid CPU and GPU debugging and optimization experience;
- Solid understanding of graphics pipelines and rendering techniques;
- Solid experience with one or more rendering APIs (DirectX, Vulcan, etc);
- Experience in smartphone development;
- Knowledge of Unreal (UE4 or UE5), Unity and other proprietary engines;
- Solid attention to organization and detail with strong analytical skills;
- Solid technical insight;
- Good communication skills with the ability to write and verbalize conceptual thoughts;
- Strong sense of accountability to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations;
- High emotional intelligence to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics effectively;
- Proactive agent with a problem solving and critical thinking mindset;
- Solid debugging and optimisation skills.
